SAG's Programmes

  • Headed by Asst. Secretary (Programs)
  • Registration and release of grants to its State Sports Associations and Clubs
  • Control of 36 State Sports Associations and 103 Sports Clubs registered with the SAG
  • Organises workshops to improve skills of PE teachers, coaches and officers
  • Distribution of Coaching camp allowance and holding of Diet Coaching camps
  • Organises Rural Sports Events at all the 11 talukas and State Level
  • Deputes State Teams to the recognised Zonals, Nationals, National Games, Federation Cup  and International Events

Cash Awards & Allowances:

  • Cash awards to winning sportspersons at the National & International level
  • Deputes on an average 100 teams and 1500 sportspersons in Goa to various nationals, provides them coaching camps allowance, diet, kit money.

 

SAG's Schemes

  • To release grants to State Sports Associations for participation in the Zonal/ National/ International tournaments
  • To release Annual Maintenance grants to State Sports Associations
  • To release grants to State Sports Associations for holding Zonal/ National/ International level tournaments
  • To release annual grants to SAG registered Sports clubs
  • To release grants to Sports Clubs for construction of Clubhouse/ Pavilion etc
  • To conduct tournaments/ seminars by SAG for promotion of sports in various parts of Goa
  • To conduct coaching camps prior to participation of State teams in Zonal/National Level tournaments
  • To conduct special camps at school/college/club level for promotion of sports and forming of teams by schools, colleges, clubs
  • To conduct special camps in winter and Summer holidays to groom talent
  • To conduct women sports at Taluka & State level as a special avenue for sportswomen
  • To conduct rural sports at Taluka/District/State level as a special avenue for students and non-students living in rural areas
  • To release sports material to MLAs, MPs for distribution to sports clubs in their constituencies
  • To provide sports material for coaches appointed at various regular coaching centres run by SAG
  • To release sports equipment to deserving registered sports clubs and meritorious sportspersons directly through SAG
  • To maintain stadia/swimming pools/ playgrounds/gymnasia/sports halls in various parts of Goa
  • To release prize money to meritorious sportspersons for excellence at National/ International level
